Wasp Trucks
Wasp Trucks
These were the uks attempt at making a similar truck to the gullwing split axles and were a nice enough truck but weren’t a great seller so nowadays they are quite collectible , they were black eco y coated which gave them quite a modern mean look and were made in Surrey

Re: Wasp Trucks
I have a set with a few marks on them, they seem better quality than Gullwings. I have never ridden them but did recently set them up on my Manx Slalom with Avon Boosters.

Re: Wasp Trucks
No like a lot of stuff I bought them direct from Shiner 20 years ago but I was late to the game and most of the good stuff had gone, pretty sure they came with bearings.
I which I had been one of smart guys with their old copies of Skateboard! going round the old factories from the adverts in 99/2000 to see if they were still there and if they had old stock,
Those guys cleaned up going full Drew Pritchard lol

i think the early 90's would have been the best time to pick up cheap gear, especially from the shops.i bet theres still a bit of stock stashed away in folks sheds/garages/false roofs still, its just a matter of dropping lucky
i found a guy a few yrs back whos dad used to have a sports shop and he had a fair bit of gear still, nos fibreflex, zflex, and a fair few british decks as well plus some benjys,i was trying to sort a deal but it never happened and he just disappeared, ive never seen any of it for sale so presume he still has it shame i lost his email over the yrs

Re: Wasp Trucks
Just sold my set for around £200, which I thought was a fair enough price but considerably cheaper than the more common Split Axle Gull wings in the same condition would be.
Re: Wasp Trucks
Yes I was going to bid on them but I think 200ish was fair for you and buyer , rare trucks though only other pair I saw were £65 and that was years backItsonlymoney!!! wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 9:35 pm Just sold my set for around £200, which I thought was a fair enough price but considerably cheaper than the more common Split Axle Gull wings in the same condition would be.

Yeah, interesting that, they wouldn’t just have made 1 truck that size they are bound to have made a batch
