its hard to say on that, most collectors i know prefer original cond or a very light resto if they cant find/afford nos gear but yours must be worth the same as the one thats just sold i presume? put it on ebay and then we will find out

I’d say most serious collectors know of Mark’s craftsmanship and would pay handsomely for it but I only think the eBay one made that much money as they come up so rarely.

Yeah but I have bad news for him he is still missing the elusive, maybe none existent Alexis Le Pasteur Benjyboard 😂

It was in Skateboarder Magazine so it must be true 🤔

Now that’s one I’ve never heard of or seen or heard mentioned before , interesting on the wheel wells on that you can see on your pic they are inverted sort of speak so the front ones face one way and the back ones face the other way a bit similar to the mark 2 sablosky and same width front to back so certainly different to other benjys , yes that would be a good one to get , maybe he just had his own eh

The board Alexis is riding in those photos is the Sablosky. Alexis's model never made it to production, so only a prototype.

i wonder what a nos one would have fetched? i bet theres a load stashed away in some dusty old warehouse or shed somewhere
anyone know all the colours that they were made in? ive seen blue and red but cant recall seeing any others
I have an NOS one - and yes, it was me that bought the ebay one.

Colours available were Red, Blue, Yellow and Orange.

Took it back to 'Factory settings' as they were advertised with ACS 580's and OJ Superjuice. (other option was Logan Park Rider 5's)

Also scored this recently.. Originally a 40" Carver model - but a previous owner removed 4" off the nose!

Same construction as the '78 Sablosky with the birch ply underside. Bit of a camber on it too.

Fair amount of resto was required to get it back into shape but a rare bird nonetheless!

imagine chopping the nose off  i presume it was just to make it more park friendly as theyre pretty strong decks so wouldnt have thought it was because of severe damage  that would have been a real rarity

I had. Schmitt Stix Yardstick and 36” is long enough if you want to do anything other than carve, but I’m a short arse 😂

I seem to remember ??? Pavey one of the owners/ Investors in Benjyboards had an interview in Skateboard! He was long boarding presumably on the 40” but I’d need to look back to be sure.

That would be John Povey (keyboard player with The Pretty Things) He was an investor in Benjyboards and was team manager. Passed away last year.
John and Marc Sinclair in Helsinki...
